Thanks to everyone who supported our September activities and events! 🎉 A big congratulations to our newest Eagle Scout, Jared Trujillo, and to our new Scoutmaster, Jonathan Deming. We’re also grateful to David Holtkamp for his thoughtful leadership as Scoutmaster over the past year, and we look forward to his continued support of the troop in his new role as Outdoor Coordinator.

TOP THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS MONTH:
Wed 10/1 - Troop Meeting: Cooking Merit Badge for scouts + families can learn more about how they can support our Troop. Also, Kirtland Camporee details & final call for Great Sand Dunes campout will be announced.
Sat 10/4 Day Trip - Fall Camporee at Kirtland AFB: sign ups are now closed
Wed 10/8 - Patrol Meeting: Vote on new chuck box design & Great Sand Dunes planning
Wed 10/15 - Troop Meeting: PLC meeting/rank advancement & Mr. Werner will be doing a stove demonstration to support the Cooking merit badge
Wed 10/22 - Troop Meeting: Great Sand Dunes camping final details + scout free time
Sat 10/25 - Sun 10/26 - Great Sand Dunes Car Camping: Sign up here - large group camp, families are welcome to attend!
Wed 10/22 - Troop Meeting: Turkey Roast planning meeting for scouts & families for our biggest event & campout of the year!

As a reminder, whenever a Scout and a leader communicate via email, it is essential to always CC another registered adult or a parent/guardian. This practice is a core part of Scouting’s Youth Protection guidelines.

BSA Medical forms are found here - youth & adult participants need forms A & B for overnights less than 72 hours + part C (signed by doctor) if more than 72 hours.
