Troop 22 Newsletter: December 2025 Edition

What a fantastic November! Our joint Turkey Roast campout and annual meal with Troop 2 was a success — great food, teamwork, and tons of memories made. A big thank-you to all the Scouts and families who helped make it such a smooth and spirited weekend.

Now we shift gears into celebration mode as we look forward to honoring all the hard work, growth, and achievements from this past season at our Winter Court of Honor on 12/3. We can’t wait to recognize everything our Scouts have accomplished!

NOTE: Be sure to check the Troop calendar here & your email the week of each troop meeting to track any changes.

Check out the Turkey Roast photos here.

PLEASE READ: We have been made aware of serious facility care issues at our meeting location at BELC. These expectations are not optional and must be followed by all Scouts and families:

• Clean up all trash and spills

• Do not put trash or containers in toilets

• Check restrooms before leaving (floors and toilets)

• Do not touch thermostats

• Turn off lights when finished

• Leave rooms exactly as you found them

• Close and lock doors and windows

• Do not touch food drive items

• Classrooms and the game room are off-limits unless two adults are present

• All Scouts will complete an end-of-meeting sweep before dismissal

• Be respectful and responsible at all times

Using this space is a privilege, not a right. If expectations are not met, we risk losing access to this facility.

Leaders will be enforcing a high standard of behavior and supervision. This will be taken seriously and carefully monitored by BELC cameras. Thank you for your immediate attention and cooperation.

NOTES:

  • We Need Your Support!

To keep our campouts and events running smoothly, we rely on all of our families to pitch in. When just a few carry the weight, it’s tough to keep the momentum going. Please take a moment to reach out to a troop leader so we can plan ahead and keep offering these awesome experiences for our Scouts.

  • Reminder: Always CC Another Adult in Scout Communications

As a reminder, whenever a Scout and a leader communicate via email, it is essential to always CC another registered adult or a parent/guardian. This practice is a core part of Scouting’s Youth Protection guidelines.

  • Report YPT Violations: call or text 1-844-SCOUTS1

  • BSA Medical forms are found here - youth & adult participants need forms A & B for overnights less than 72 hours + part C (signed by doctor) if more than 72 hours.
