  • Council Popcorn Kickoff Meeting via Zoom

  • Join Trail’s End FB group to stay informed of updates & promos through season

  • Get Trail’s End leader dashboard

  • Complete Trail’s End leader webinar & training

  • Determine incentives for selling based on Troop budget​

  • Announce popcorn season with Troop, encouraging all to participate to cover registration fees offering incentives. Gauge participation totals to determine amount to order.
    • $225 - $250 per hour, per scout - need to do 2 sessions to cover recharter​
    • Focus on getting high adventure to participate, show how they can visually get there with their points.
  • Confirm storefront sales on Trail's End (Smith's LA & WR) and any other viable locations that are not available to book in Trail's End, confirm with managers
    • Consider alternating weekend with Cubs​

  • Popcorn order due via Trail's End
  • You will call Kathy or Heather (M, W, F from 9 am - 5 pm) to take your credit card over the phone and get invoice
  • Bring invoice to Troop meeting to get reimbursed by Treasurer
  • Email Scouts to begin online popcorn sales
  • Send Sign Up Genious to fill storefront slots
  • No more than 2 shifts per scout, per day, 1 scout per shift
  • Popcorn order will be available for pick-up at the council office
  • Social media posted to announce storefronts on Nextdoor & Facebook groups
  • Borrow 4' table from Brant or Pete
  • Storefront & wagon popcorn sales commence
  • Family of scout with first shift to pick up popcorn & supplies 30 mins prior; be sure to charge Square reader the night before
  • Settle up popcorn sales at weekly Troop meetings (recount cash and pass any checks to Treasurer, send totals via email to Treasurer & Bookkeeper each week
  • Get popcorn trophy from previous year's winner
  • Order engraved plate for new winner for perpetual trophy that can be used for the next several years. You can order extra plates here.
  • Ask Council to send popcorn patches for Top 5 participants, if available
  • Close out popcorn sales in Trail's End
  • Submit request for scout points to be redeemed (complete by November)
  • Submit final sales results to Troop Treasurer & Bookkeeper outlining % each scout sold so that funds can be distributed to Troop & Scout accounts
  • Ensure troop balance for scouts and troop account are distributed (complete by December)
  • Celebrate scouts and pass off trophy to the top sales winner (Winter COH)
